Dubai Marina is a world-renowned master-planned waterfront district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, built around a 3-kilometre artificial canal that brings the waters of the Arabian Gulf inland.
History & Development
Conceptualized by master developer Emaar Properties, Dubai Marina's construction began in 2000. It was inspired by Vancouver's False Creek development, aiming to transform a stretch of desert coastline into a high-density, modern canal community. Established in 2003, the first phase—consisting of the six 'Emaar Towers' (Al Mass, Fairooz, Murjan, Mesk, Anbar, and Al Yass)—was quickly delivered. Over the decades, the district grew rapidly into one of Dubai's most populated and famous areas, housing over 120,000 residents.

Dubai Marina is colloquially known as the 'Tallest Block in the World' due to its soaring residential skyline.
