Development History and Key Milestones
Palma Residences was announced by master developer Nakheel in March 2012. It represented the developer's first new residential project launched after the 2008 financial crisis. Groundbreaking occurred on April 11, 2012, with Dubai Civil Engineering (DCE) L.L.C. appointed as the main contractor under an AED 194 million contract. Halcrow was chosen for beach profiling consultancy, while Van Oord executed beach profiling works on the Eastern and Western edges under a separate USD 28.6 million contract. Construction was completed in 2015.
