Jumeirah Golf Estates is an elite, gated master-planned residential golf community in Dubai, set across 1,119 hectares and centered around two world-class 18-hole championship courses designed by Greg Norman.
Overview & Development History
Originally launched in 2005 by Leisurecorp (a Dubai World subsidiary), with construction beginning in 2006, Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) officially opened in 2009. Following a restructuring, master development passed to Jumeirah Golf Estates LLC under the Investment Corporation of Dubai, completing Phase 1 in 2018. Daily operations are overseen by Wasl Asset Management Group. In May 2025, Wasl unveiled 'The Next Chapter' (Phase 2), a massive 4.68 million square meter expansion designed to add over 12,000 new residences across six themed districts.
Sub-communities & Residential Offerings
JGE features unique residential clusters flanking its championship courses. Communities on the Fire course (e.g., Redwood Park, Redwood Avenue, Flame Tree Ridge, Orange Lake, Sienna Lakes, Sienna Views, and Valencia Grove) exhibit Mediterranean and Tuscan architecture. Earth course communities (e.g., Whispering Pines, Lime Tree Valley, Olive Point, Sanctuary Falls, Sundials, and Wildflower) showcase classical themes.
